Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric home-based therapy to ages 0–21, several times weekly, per physician orders. The role includes evaluating speech and related disorders, writing diagnostic reports, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have a Master's in SLP, completed CFY (CCC-SLP), and Texas licensure. Home health experience and bilingual Spanish abilities are a plus; valid auto insurance and a

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities 0–21 years old.
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, feeding, and related disorders.
• Document diagnoses and progress in written reports for physicians and families.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan patient goals and interventions.
• Educate staff and caregivers with training materials and in-service sessions.
• Supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants if eligible.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University


• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP


• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas


• Experience in pediatrics required


• Home health experience preferred


• Bilingual in Spanish a plus


• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders


• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments


• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports


• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions


• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions


• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program


• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
