Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home pediatric therapy 2+ times weekly, working with patients from 0 to 21 years old.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and feeding disorders, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals. Supervisory opportunities exist for senior clinicians.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• CCC-SLP Clinical Fellowship year completed
• Texas state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week
• Define patient speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, and related impairments and select appropriate tests
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals for each patient
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
