Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to serve pediatric patients in home and daytime clinic settings. You will use evidence-based therapy to address speech, language, feeding, and oral-motor disorders for ages 0–21, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and mentor Clinical Fellows as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of CFY, CCC-SLP.
• Texas license to practice SLP required.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Feeding experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Define degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by testing.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training and materials.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments


• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports


• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions


• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions


• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program


• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
