Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy in clients' homes or daytime facilities. You will conduct assessments, deliver therapies 2+ times per week, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet each child’s communication, feeding, and related needs.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Texas licensure, and CCC-SLP with Clinical Fellowship completion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• CCC-SLP; Clinical Fellowship year completed.
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, or fluency impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports


• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions


• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions


• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program


• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
