Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver pediatric therapy in the home or daytime facilities, two or more visits weekly. You will assess and treat speech, language, voice, swallowing, and related disorders, interpret diagnostics, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to set and evaluate goals.

Requirements include a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Texas license, pediatrics and home health experience; bilingual Spanish

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Clinical Fellowship year completed with CCC-SLP.
• Texas licensure to practice SLP.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Valid auto insurance and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for ages 0-21, 2+ times per week.
• Define speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, and related impairments using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient goals.
• Plan and modify care to meet speech therapy objectives.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows and SLP Assistants with sufficient experience.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University


• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP


• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas


• Experience in pediatrics required


• Home health experience preferred


• Bilingual in Spanish a plus


• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders


• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments


• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports


• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions


• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions


• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program


• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
