Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, including those with stroke-related needs. The role includes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing education in acute stroke care. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a related field.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) per IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days per AHA.
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Collects case history information and integrates information from patients, families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
• Conducts assessment procedures for speech and language pathology with appropriate materials.
• Develops and implements a care plan with measurable goals in collaboration with the patient.
• Interprets information to develop and recommend intervention plans.
• Evaluates patients with speech and feeding impairments and educates on home programs.
• Coordinates with pediatric PT/OT on treatments and documents in EMR.
• Supervises students and completes required projects for senior status.
