Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Attend and satisfactorily complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Collects case history and integrates information from patients, family, caregivers, teachers, and professionals.
• Conducts speech-language pathology assessments and selects appropriate materials.
• Develops and implements a plan of care with measurable goals in collaboration with patients.
• Interprets information to develop treatment plans and recommendations for intervention.
• Evaluates speech and feeding-related impairments and coordinates with pediatric PT/OT.
