Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. This role serves as a clinical resource for staff and students and supports the delivery of professional services with a focus on high-quality patient care.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Illinois SLP licensure, and BLS certification within 30 days. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is included for this role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure as an SLP.
• Active Illinois IDFPR SLP license and BLS certification within 30 days.
• Ongoing continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Collects case history information and integrates information from patient, family, caregivers, teachers, and others.
• Selects and administers appropriate evaluation procedures to meet patient needs.
• Recognizes patient cultural/linguistic background in planning care.
• Conducts assessment procedures for speech and language pathology and selects appropriate materials.
• Develops and implements a care plan with measurable goals and collaborative planning.
• Interprets and synthesizes information to develop a treatment plan and recommendations.
