Carle Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. The role serves as a clinical resource for staff and students and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure as a SLP in Illinois, with BLS and ongoing continuing education in acute stroke care. You will assess, plan, and implement therapy in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed SLP in IL (IDFPR).
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Continuing education in acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Collects case history and integrates information for evaluation.
• Conducts speech and language assessments with appropriate materials.
• Develops care plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patient and family.
• Interprets information to develop effective treatment plans.
• Evaluates speech and feeding impairments and documents progress.
• Administers standardized tests to assess function against age norms.
• Educates patients and families on home programs.
• Coordinates with pediatric PT/OT on interventions.
• Completes daily therapy EMR documentation.
