Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home therapy for patients aged 0–21, at least twice weekly, under physician orders. You will assess, diagnose, and treat language, speech, swallowing, and feeding disorders.

Work in a supportive, therapist-owned practice with mentoring and career development. Pediatric home health experience and a valid TX license are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
  • License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Feeding Experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
  • Define patient degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing and related impairments using testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and instruct team in speech therapy modalities.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
  • May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.

  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
