Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home pediatric therapy, primarily for ages 0-21, with multiple weekly visits as ordered by physicians. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication, feeding, and related disorders, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in SLP, Texas licensure, and pediatrics/home health experience; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college/university.
  • License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Feeding experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week as ordered by physicians.
  • Define degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing and related impairments using appropriate tests.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on speech therapy modalities.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals.
  • Educate staff, caregivers and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
  • May supervise Clinical Fellows and SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
  • Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
