Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Plano, TX is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities, 2+ visits per week in line with physician orders.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, valid Texas licensure, and completion of the CFY CCC-SLP. Pediatric experience is essential, home health experience preferred, and Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Clinical Fellowship year completed; CCC-SLP.
• Texas licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define and diagnose speech, language, voice, feeding, and related impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and guide interventions.
• Plan and modify care to meet speech therapy goals and interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
