Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver pediatric home health services in Texas. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating 0–21 year olds, typically 2+ visits per week, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should have an MS in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Texas licensure, and pediatrics experience. Spanish bilingual ability and driving are pluses; home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• CCC-SLP certification upon successful completion.
• Texas licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience working with pediatric populations.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Feeding experience is a plus.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Identify degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, or fluency impairments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and interventions.
• Modify care plans to meet therapy goals and patient needs.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• Possibly supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years experience.

• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
