Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide pediatric speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities under supervision.

Requirements: active Texas SLPA licensure and at least 6 months of full-time pediatrics experience; home health preferred; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Texas SLPA licensure is required.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Current Texas SLPA licensure
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Home Health experience preferred
• Bilingual is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
