Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a dedicated paraeducator to assist certified teachers in monitoring and instructing special education students implementing IEPs. You will help students with academics, daily living activities, and health-related tasks under supervision, while supporting routine clerical duties.

Responsibilities include delivering 1:1 and small-group instruction, assisting in lesson materials, and tracking progress using district-approved tools.

Qualifications

• Supports students with disabilities and follows IEPs.
• Demonstrates ability to assist teachers and specialists.
• Proactively monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work and reinforce objectives under direction.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Monitor and respond to behaviors per district plans and crisis policy.
• Assist with transitions, daily living activities, and health-related tasks.
• Perform clerical tasks to support teachers and student files.
• Participate in district professional development and meetings.
