Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is hiring an Instructional Assistant Special Education II - Support at Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona. Under supervision of certified teachers, you will assist in monitoring and instructing special education students per IEPs, supporting daily living activities and health care tasks, and helping with clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience and record of effectiveness in similar roles

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives for IEP goals
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom
• Proactively collect and monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals
• Assist in modifying curriculum to meet individual learning needs
• Implement positive behavior intervention plans and crisis intervention policies
• Assist with transitions, daily living activities, and health-related tasks
