Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an instructional assistant to support special education students under the supervision of certified teachers. You will assist with monitoring and implementing IEP goals, reinforcing classroom work, and supporting daily living activities and health care tasks.

The role involves 10 hours per week at a base hourly rate, providing hands-on support in classrooms and during transitions across campus. Training is provided for ASPEN protocols, first aid, and CPR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in similar roles.
• Ability to work with special education students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and reinforce classroom objectives under teacher direction.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining classroom.
• Monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals using district tools.
• Assist in modifying curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement positive behavior support plans per district policies.
• Accompany students during transitions across campus and activities.
• Perform general clerical tasks to support teachers and maintain student files.
