Job summary

Alpine School District is hiring an Instructional Paraprofessional - 1 to 1 at Sage Canyon Middle. This non-contract, part-time position involves supporting classroom instruction for special needs students and assisting with supervision and clerical tasks in a resource setting.

The role includes adapting activities, providing basic health support, administering tests, and monitoring student progress under teacher direction. Training available within district during employment.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under supervision to support IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Administers tests, homework and make-up work to support teachers.
• Monitors student progress through data collection.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Provides instruction to students in individual and group activities to reinforce learning objectives.
• Maintains instructional materials and classroom records and equipment.
• Supervises students during various school environments to ensure safety.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate staff.
