Job summary

Qualifications

• Age 16+ or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under supervising teacher to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers first aid and basic medical assistance as instructed.
• Administers tests, homework, and makeup work to support teachers.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Supports students with self-care activities and daily living tasks.
• Provides instructional support in individual or small group settings.
• Participates in trainings and meetings to stay informed on job functions.
• Communicates with staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP/504 objectives.
• Implements behavior plans identified in IEPs under supervision.
• Maintains materials, files, and classroom equipment.
• Supervises students across school environments to maintain safety.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure smooth operations.
• Provides instructional support to reinforce concepts and goals.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Assists in escorting students to/from classes for safety.
