Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to support the instructional program in a secondary resource classroom for students with special needs.

The role includes implementing IEP goals, providing 1:1 and small-group instruction, monitoring behavior, and assisting teachers with clerical tasks. Training within district will enhance growth potential and daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to support students with special needs following IEP goals.
• Willingness to complete mandatory employee training within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials under teacher direction to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet student health needs.
• Administers tests, homework, and make-up work to support classroom instruction.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Monitors student safety and behavior during non-classroom time.
• Provides instruction to students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
