Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional - Secondary to assist in the resource classroom for students with special needs. The role is designated non-contract with limited benefits and part-time hours (5.8 hours per day).

The position offers an hourly rate with lanes 5 and 6 depending on training, and duties include implementing lesson plans, assisting teachers, and ensuring student safety and progress. Applicants must be 16+ with a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employeetraining within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate health care and first aid as instructed to meet student needs.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Provides instruction to students in individual and group settings to reinforce learning concepts.
• Monitors students during various school times to maintain a safe learning environment.
