Qualifikationen

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Aufgaben

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under supervision to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by health care professionals.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work to support teachers.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Assists students with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts and goals.
• Attends trainings and meetings to acquire/relay information on job functions.
• Communicates with supervising staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP/504 objectives.
• Demonstrates appropriate role modeling for students’ social behavior.
• Implements behavioral plans identified in IEPs under supervision.
• Maintains instructional materials and records and classroom equipment.
• Monitors students in various school environments for safety.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Provides instruction to students in individual/group activities to reinforce objectives and ensure success.
• Reports observations/incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Supervises and escorts students to/from classes for safety.
