Job summary

Ethos is seeking a Specimen Collection Specialist to collect urine, nasal swabs, and blood specimens in physician offices. You will complete requisitions, enter patient data in EMR/LIS, ship specimens, and maintain specimen integrity following Ethos SOPs.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work remotely with supervision, and strong patient interaction skills. Flexible schedule includes M-F 8am–4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch, and adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 2 years of medical office or laboratory collection experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be preferred but is not required.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collect urine samples and enter data in Laboratory Information System.
• Collect anterior nasal swabs for Covid-19 testing when requested.
• Obtain blood specimens according to protocols and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow patient protocols and SOPs; ensure proper labeling and shipping.
• Maintain a clean, compliant work environment and participate in trainings.
