Job summary

Ethos is seeking a Specimen Collection Specialist to collect patient specimens in physician offices, including urine, oral fluids, Covid-19, and blood. You will complete requisitions, ensure specimen integrity, and input patient data into EMR or LIS, coordinating with clinic staff as needed.

This role supports a field operations team, works with remote supervision, schedules appointments, and adheres to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of medical office or laboratory collection experience.
• Phlebotomy Certificate preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Collect urine samples and enter data in Laboratory Information System.
• Collect anterior nasal swabs for Covid-19 testing when requested.
• Obtain blood specimens following venipuncture protocols.
• Maintain specimen integrity per SOPs and reference materials.
• Label specimens and prepare for shipment to the lab.
