Job summary

Ethos Laboratories is seeking a FT Collection Specialist/Phlebotomist to collect specimens in physician offices, enter data in EMR/LIS systems, and ensure specimen integrity. The role involves blood and urine collection, Covid-19 swabs, and coordinating with clinic staff.

Responsibilities include following venipuncture protocols, labeling, shipping specimens, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and Ethos standards. Ability to work independently with remote supervision is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of medical office or laboratory collection experience required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred, but not required; CPT if needed by client.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Collect urine samples and enter data in Laboratory Information System.
• Collect anterior nasal swabs for Covid-19 testing as requested.
• Obtain blood specimens following Ethos venipuncture protocols.
• Maintain specimen integrity per SOPs and SOPs provided by Field Supervisor.
• Label, track, and ship specimens to the lab.
• Update patient information and complete requisitions; schedule appointments as needed.
• Work independently and remotely supervised.
• Adhere to Ethos standards, policies, and HIPAA requirements.
