Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in metal fabrication or welding.
• Familiarity with blueprint-based layouts and welding procedures.
• Ability to read gauges, blueprints, and machining plans.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components to form frames, tanks, shells and piping structures.
• Select pipe sizes and materials per specifications and plan layouts.
• Operate various welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW) as required by task.
• Tack weld components, position parts in multiple orientations, and verify fitment.
• Maintain weld quality by controlling arc length, travel speed and heat input.
