Job summary

VillageMD in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Patient Service Representative – Specialty Scheduler to support the specialty department with scheduling and patient flow. You’ll handle registration, insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and coordinate with physicians, tests, and referrals, delivering compassionate service.

A High School diploma and strong customer service skills are required; experience with EHR and medical office systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Prior PSR or scheduling experience is a plus.
• Proven customer service skills and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, manage scheduling and waitlists.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations and imaging/tests as needed.
• Collect payments and provide receipts, process self-pay charges.
• Maintain patient information and ensure accurate documentation.
• Communicate scheduling changes and delays with compassion.
