Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy seeks a Specialty Pharmacy Program Liaison in Omaha, NE. This office-based role serves as the primary contact among the company, manufacturers, HUBs and patients to manage program details, status updates and reimbursement issues.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to onboard new patients and resolve coverage or processing questions. The position emphasizes patient-focused communication, timely resolutions and data reporting, with a non-exempt, full-time

Qualifications

• Experienced pharmacy technician with national CPhT certification; 3+ years preferred.
• Working knowledge of specialty pharmacy and healthcare industry trends.
• Experience with insurance verification and billing documentation for Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurances preferred.
• HIPAA trained or ability to protect confidential information.
• Two years in a physician's office, healthcare setting or insurance background preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between specialty pharmacy, patients, insurers, manufacturers and providers.
• Primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations.
• Resolves customer issues with timely, accurate information and appropriate case triage.
• Collaborates with Patient Care, Pharmacy Operations and Trade Relations to ensure timely requests.
• Works with COE teams and other departments to onboard new patients.
• Contacts providers or patients to obtain information to continue processing prescriptions.
• Triages issues related to coverage to the appropriate team (prior authorizations, appeals, etc.).
• Works with pharmacist/nurse to contact providers and insurers for approvals.
• Participates in Quarterly Business Reviews as needed.
• Builds rapport to promote high-quality customer service and company image.
• Provides data updates and ad hoc reports to manufacturers and HUBs.
• Interprets updates about product/program details and disseminates information.
