Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a full-time Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to coordinate pharmacy services within a health system. The role supports patients, providers, and the CPS team, focusing on prior authorizations, financial aid, and adherence throughout therapy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hawaii pharmacy technician registration preferred.
• Experience with health system specialty pharmacy is preferred.
• Experience with benefit investigations, prior authorizations and financial assistance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems (EPIC/Cerner/Meditech).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon clinic arrival.
• Explain benefits and enroll patients into the program.
• Perform insurance investigations, prior authorizations and claims handling.
• Assist patients with financial aid programs and assistance.
• Enter and verify patient data accurately.
• Provide ongoing support to ensure adherence and outcomes.
• Triaging clinical questions to pharmacist, nurse or provider.
• Participate in CPS outreach and CPS events.
