Job summary

CPS, part of Optum, is hiring an onsite Specialty Pharmacy Liaison. You will coordinate services between patients, providers, and the CPS pharmacy team, focusing on prior authorizations, insurance benefits, and patient counseling.

As a full-time, non-exempt role under supervision of a pharmacist, you will support clinical data updates, assist with financial aid, and engage patients through outbound calls to promote adherence and successful therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered, or ability to become registered as a pharmacy technician in the State of Oregon.
• Experience interacting with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals (preferably in a medical clinic).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival to the clinic.
• Explain the benefits of our specialty pharmacy and enroll patients into the program.
• Perform insurance benefit investigations and prior authorizations.
• Assist with financial aid and data entry.
• Prepare and dispense medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Provide patient support and outreach for adherence and refills.
