Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's CPS unit seeks a full-time, onsite Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to coordinate services through health systems' specialty and retail pharmacies. You will bridge patients, providers and the pharmacy to improve prescription capture, provide follow-up counseling, and maintain clear communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered, or ability to become registered as a pharmacy technician in the State of Oregon.
• Experience interacting with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals (preferably in a medical clinic).

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients upon arrival to the clinic.
• Explaining the benefits of our specialty pharmacy and enrolling patients into the program.
• Performing all insurance benefit investigations, prior authorization, claim rejects, overrides, etc.
• Working with patients to find financial aid (grants, manufacturer programs, discount cards) to ensure access to medications.
• Data/order entry and verification of patient information.
• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Providing direct support to enrolled patients to ensure adherence and therapy outcomes, including outbound calls and triage of clinical questions.
