Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to coordinate services between patients, providers, and the pharmacy within health systems nationwide. The role focuses on improving prescription capture, follow-up counseling, and smooth communication, including prior authorizations, financial assistance, and clinical data updates under a pharmacist supervision.

You will participate in 24/7 patient support, direct outreach, and collaboration with the CPS Patient Care Services

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in applicable state.
• PTCB certification or ability to acquire within 24 months of hire.
• Experience preparing medication for shipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Initializing and leading ongoing work in clinics and ensuring patient engagement aligns with their preferences.
• Identify and meet patients who can benefit from specialty pharmacy in clinic.
• Explain benefits of our specialty pharmacy and enroll patients into the program.
• Perform benefits investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance work.
• Oversee services from order entry to final verification, ensuring speed, accuracy, and alignment with patients’ needs.
• Provide direct support to enrolled patients throughout therapy, including outbound calls and refill reminders.
• Triaging clinical questions to an appropriate clinician (pharmacist, nurse, or provider).
