Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's CPS unit seeks a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to coordinate pharmacy services across health systems. You will interface with patients, providers, and CPS Patient Care Services to improve prescription capture and ensure smooth communication.

The role requires coordination of prior authorizations, financial assistance, and proactive patient follow-up. The position includes direct patient interaction, collaboration with pharmacists, and participation in a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in applicable state.
PTCB certification or ability to acquire within 24 months of hire.
Experience preparing medication for shipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead clinic work to ensure patient CPS engagement aligns with patient preferences.
Identify patients who can benefit from specialty pharmacy in clinics.
Explain benefits while preserving patient choice and encourage participation.
Enroll patients into the program.
Perform benefits investigation, prior authorizations, and financial assistance.
Oversee services from order entry to final verification responsive to patient needs.
Provide remote support to enrolled patients and conduct outbound adherence calls.
Handle inbound calls and participate in 24/7 patient support coverage.
Triaging clinical questions to pharmacists, nurses, or providers.
