Job summary

Amgen is recruiting for Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative in the United States. The role focuses on providing clinical knowledge to medical professionals and navigating the payer environment, delivering on marketing strategy, and promoting Amgen products under the guidance of the District Manager.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 3–4 years of sales or clinical healthcare experience for Senior roles, plus preferred experience in pharma/biotech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR Associate degree with 4+ years sales OR HS diploma with 6+ years sales
• Senior role requires 3+ years sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries preferred
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases preferred
• Adaptive with core competencies: Sales Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization
• Lead as a sales leader to achieve territory sales through branded messages, programs, and physician education
• Develop relationships to service accounts, ensure product access, and resolve reimbursement issues
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory plans with the District Manager
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow professionally
• Demonstrate passion for products throughout the sales cycle and uphold Amgen values
