Job summary

Travelers is seeking a claims professional in New Jersey to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and resolve Specialty Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. You will ensure quality handling across the claim life cycle, coordinating with insureds, policyholders, and experts while complying with standards and state regulations.

Under general supervision, you will provide mentoring, serve as a technical resource, and support roundtables to improve payout outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years liability claim handling experience.
• License(s) may be required within three months of starting the job.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned claims.
• Provides quality customer service and ensures file quality and timely coverage analysis and communication with insured based on policy information.
• Consults with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Directly investigate each claim through prompt contact with stakeholders to determine liability, damages, and contribution.
