Travelers in Morristown, NJ seeks an experienced liability claims professional to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and resolve Specialty Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims under general supervision.

The ideal candidate will directly handle claims, provide quality customer service, and consult with managers on complex coverage issues, while maintaining compliance with internal standards and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5 years business experience or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
• Thorough understanding of litigation processes and insurance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned claims and conducts timely, quality coverage analyses.
• Negotiates dispositions with insureds and claimants; develops litigation plans when needed.
• Investigates claims through interviews with policyholders, claimants, and experts; assesses liability and damages.
• Maintains claim files and uses CFA and diary systems to ensure timely handling.
