Job Summary
The Specialist, Transfer Credit is responsible for leading theuniversity’s transfer and articulation processes and is the leadcontact for evaluating and posting transfer credit includingcollege transfer credit, standardized tests, military credit, andAP and IB exams. The position oversees the OneOrigin Sia transferAI and manages the College Course TES database.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Maintains familiarity with Family Educational Rights andPrivacy Act (FERPA) regulations and privacy laws governing highereducation
- Serves as primary expert for all issues and questions relatedto the interpretation and application of transfer credit evaluationpolicies and procedures
- Manages processes related to the creation, coordination,implementation, and maintenance of all aspects relevant to theevaluation of transfer credit
- Collaborates with enrollment counselors, college departments,advisors, and academic services in determining the ability ofcredits to transfer to meet general education and programrequirements
- Collects and maintains data related to volume, efficiency, andproductivity
- Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to implement bestpractices related to transfer and articulation
- Completes unofficial and official transcript evaluations
- Assists returning students with assessing how previous creditswill apply to the current academic programs
- Independently resolves student issues and complaints
- Maintains the university’s transfer database within AnthologyStudent and College Source TES
- Manages the university’s transfer AI system and coordinateswith the IT Enterprise team on essential updates andintegrations
- Oversees all aspects of the transfer equivalency process andholds academic college partners accountable for completing timelycredit evaluations
- Coordinates with Athletics to integrate incoming athleteevaluations with the master transfer data base
- Trains advisors, Academic Services staff, faculty, andadministrators on the use of transfer systems and transferevaluation processes
Service Excellence
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture ofservice excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’svalues
- Works events for Honors Convocation and Commencement ceremonies(if applicable)
- Interacts with students, faculty, staff, coaches, and alumni ina professional manner
- Provides excellent customer service via email and phone,answering questions regarding Academic Services procedures
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
- Answers questions via telephone or email, or by assistingwalk-ins (if applicable)
- Resolves issues within an efficient timeframe

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Familiarity with FERPA regulations and privacy laws governinghigher education
- Minimum of 1 year experience within the field of highereducation required

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals fromdiverse communities and cultures
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communicationskills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to use good judgment and think critically
