Job summary

Lindenwood University is seeking an Academic Records Representative to support the Registrar's Office with enrollment activities, transfer credit evaluation, and degree verifications. This role handles transcript processing and maintains privacy compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting with adds/drops, communicating with students and staff, and supporting commencement tasks while upholding service excellence and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Registrar with enrollment adds/drops and major changes.
  • Evaluate transfer credits and transcribe them into the SIS.
  • Process transcript requests and degree verifications daily.
  • Maintain FERPA compliance and protect student privacy.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Support commencement logistics and office tasks as needed.

Job Summary The academic records representative is responsible for assisting the Registrar with processes such as enrollment and adds/drops, major changes, grade changes, and degree verifications. This position evaluates transfer credits and transcribes them in the student information system.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

Job Responsibilities and Execution
  • Maintains familiarity with FERPA regulations and privacy laws governing higher education
  • Evaluates transcripts and transcribes credits daily within the student information system
  • Sends transcripts on a daily basis
  • Processes Office of the Registrar forms
  • Performs education verifications
  • Assists with organizing commencement ceremonies, including setup
  • Ensures transfer equivalencies are determined in a timely manner
  • Directs students to the correct office/faculty member for approvals
  • Utilizes university catalogs to answer questions and explain policies
  • Provides support to the registrar
  • Maintains strict confidentiality

  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University's values
  • Interacts professionally with students, faculty, staff, coaches and alumni
