Job Summary
The academic records representative is responsible for assistingthe Registrar with processes such as enrollment and adds/drops,major changes, grade changes, and degree verifications. Thisposition evaluates transfer credits and transcribes them in thestudent information system.

The intent of this job description is to provide a representationof the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Maintains familiarity with FERPA regulations and privacy lawsgoverning higher education
- Evaluates transcripts and transcribes credits daily within thestudent information system
- Sends transcripts on a daily basis
- Processes Office of the Registrar forms
- Performs education verifications
- Assists with organizing commencement ceremonies, includingsetup
- Ensures transfer equivalencies are determined in a timelymanner
- Directs students to the correct office/faculty member forapprovals
- Utilizes university catalogs to answer questions and explainpolicies
- Provides support to the registrar
- Maintains strict confidentiality
Service Excellence
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassadorof the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
- Interacts professionally with students, faculty, staff, coachesand alumni
- Provides excellent customer service to students on behalf ofthe Office of the Registrar
Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration
- Answers questions via phone, email or customer walk-ins
- Resolves issues for all stakeholders by using efficientcommunication tools

Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals fromdiverse communities and cultures
- Familiarity with FERPA regulations and privacy laws governinghigher education
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrates consistent logic and objectivity in decisionmaking
- Computer proficiency, notably with Microsoft Office Suite
