Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $41,800

Work Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, varies times after5:00 or Saturday hours.

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remotework

Job Summary: This role coordinates at least one financial aid program includingwork-study, Federal loans, verification and return of Title IVfunds and assists students with applying for and understanding howto receive financial aid.

Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Creates reports, business correspondence, application forms,shipping tickets and other materials
  • Files financial aid records and reports, posts information torecords, sorts and distributes mail, answers telephone and performssimilar duties
  • Computes amounts, checks totals, and manages various financialaid reports to assist the director with financial aidprograms
  • Inputs and retrieves financial aid information in connection withthe responsibilities of the serving financial aid students
  • Processes student loan requests and complete verificationprocessing for students selected for verification
  • Provides office management duties for the director of financialaid
  • Assists the department with its outreach and awareness efforts,including conducting financial aid presentations
  • Interprets and follows prescribed procedures for the productionof a large volume of work
Service Excellence
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
  • Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege
Supervision
  • Works under the general supervision of the Director of FinancialAid
*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Three (3) years of successful office experience that involvedserving customers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or 60 college hours
  • At least one (1) year's working experience in a college oruniversity setting related to the Essential PerformanceRequirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of higher education and college financial aidprograms
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalrelationships including strong listening, verbal, and writtencommunication
  • Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems,including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work arevaried, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations basedon policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
