Title: Coordinator II, District Student Affairs

Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $70,400

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remotework

Job Summary

This position supports student services to ensure alignment withthe college’s strategic goals. This position contributes to meetingcompliance with state initiatives and institutional policies whileemphasizing thoughtful analysis and a strong commitment tostudent-centered support services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
  • Leads and manages designated grants, while monitoring compliance,marketing, budget, and reporting; supports grant projects inadhering to institutional and funding agency guidelines, policy,and compliance regulations
  • Compiles and analyzes data in comparison to key metrics todevelop strategies to positively impact student experience andsatisfaction the college’s strategic plan
  • Assists the District Office of Student Affairs with projectplanning, design, development, and implementation
  • Provides high level project management for student resources,services, and programs
  • Contributes to the development of new grants and fundingproposals by providing written narratives that support studentservice programs
  • Communicates key project development, milestones, challenges, andrecommend solutions to the department leader in a timely andeffective manner
  • Assists with developing the departmental Institutional EffectivePlan, including strategic goals, metrics, and programs
  • Leads state and federal programs as assigned by the departmentleader
  • Coordinates front desk staff and work study students to supportthe District Office of Student Affairs
Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
  • Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of theCollege
Supervision

Works under the general supervision of the assigned departmentleader

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Three (3) years' working experience related to the EssentialPerformance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree
  • Five (5) years’ working experience supporting strategic planningand implementation
  • Five (5) years’ working experience with the implementation ofhigher education programming in Student Affairs
  • Five (5) years’ working experience in a community collegeenvironment related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Student Affairs or Student Development activitiessuch as advising, counseling, career services, student activities,and mentoring
  • Skilled with highly developed oral and written communicationskills, including an ability to present creative content
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalrelationships
  • Skilled using applications and enterprise systems, includingMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with studentaffairs, academic affairs, and enrollment services
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work arevaried, and unpredictable in scope and volume; identifyingpotential issues before they arise
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations basedon policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
  • Ability to forecast and project student services needs at a highlevel
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential records andinformation
  • Ability to execute assignments with strong attention to detailsand adherence to deadlines
