Job description

Title: Coordinator II, District Student Affairs

Department: DT Student Affairs

Campus Location: TCCD District Offices

Employee Classification: APT - Administrative

Position Type: FT - Regular

Grant Funded: No

Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $70,400

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work

Job Summary

This position supports student services to ensure alignment with the college’s strategic goals. This position contributes to meeting compliance with state initiatives and institutional policies while emphasizing thoughtful analysis and a strong commitment to student-centered support services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads and manages designated grants, while monitoring compliance, marketing, budget, and reporting; supports grant projects in adhering to institutional and funding agency guidelines, policy, and compliance regulations
  • Compiles and analyzes data in comparison to key metrics to develop strategies to positively impact student experience and satisfaction the college’s strategic plan
  • Assists the District Office of Student Affairs with project planning, design, development, and implementation
  • Provides high level project management for student resources, services, and programs
  • Contributes to the development of new grants and funding proposals by providing written narratives that support student service programs
  • Communicates key project development, milestones, challenges, and recommend solutions to the department leader in a timely and effective manner
  • Assists with developing the departmental Institutional Effective Plan, including strategic goals, metrics, and programs
  • Leads state and federal programs as assigned by the department leader
  • Coordinates front desk staff and work study students to support the District Office of Student Affairs
Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College
Supervision
  • Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Three (3) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree
  • Five (5) years’ working experience supporting strategic planning and implementation
  • Five (5) years’ working experience with the implementation of higher education programming in Student Affairs
  • Five (5) years’ working experience in a community college environment related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Student Affairs or Student Development activities such as advising, counseling, career services, student activities, and mentoring
  • Skilled with highly developed oral and written communication skills, including an ability to present creative content
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
  • Skilled using applications and enterprise systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with student affairs, academic affairs, and enrollment services
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume; identifying potential issues before they arise
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
  • Ability to forecast and project student services needs at a high level
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential records and information
  • Ability to execute assignments with strong attention to details and adherence to deadlines
