LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist II to manage all aspects of the benefits programs, including medical, dental, life insurance, disability, wellness, HSAs, FSAs, and 401k open enrollment.

You will work with vendors and HR to ensure accurate and timely administration of plans. Responsibilities include day-to-day benefits support, regulatory filings, data audits, enrollment testing, and benchmarking compensation ranges to present proposals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent experience
• 3 to 6+ years of hands-on HR work experience including benefits/compensation and system administration
• Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation and applicable laws

Responsabilités

• Provide timely day-to-day administrative support to LGESMI benefits including health, wellness, and retirement programs
• Ensure benefits paperwork (Form 5500, 1095s, etc.) is prepared and filed with governmental entities
• Benchmark positions against market data to determine competitive compensation ranges and prepare proposals for top management
• Perform quality audits of benefits data, enrollments in HRIS and with vendors, vendor billing accuracy, and payroll deduction accuracy
• Prepare and setup benefit meetings to obtain information and explain benefits and incentive programs
• Participate in annual benefits enrollment activities including planning, preparation and testing of online enrollment platform, and auditing for enrollment accuracy

Summary:

As a Compensation and Benefits Specialist II, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Benefits Programs, including medical and dental plans, life insurance, short/long-term disability, wellness, HSA’s, flexible spending account programs, 401k, open enrollment, workers compensation, and retirement plans. Additionally, you will working with vendors and HR/employees to problem solve issues, address concerns and ensure accurate and timely administration of the plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate day-to-day administrative support to LGESMI benefits including health, wellness, and retirement programs
• Ensure that employee benefits-related paperwork (e.g., Form 5500, 1095s, etc.) is prepared and timely filed with governmental entities, as required
• Benchmark positions against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position and prepares proposals for top management
• Perform quality audits of benefits-related data, including checking the accuracy of benefit enrollments in the HRIS and with the vendors, vendor billing accuracy, and payroll coding and deduction accuracy
• Prepare and setup benefit meetings to obtain information and explain company benefits and other related incentive programs
• Participate in annual benefits enrollment activities including planning, preparation and testing of online enrollment platform, as well as auditing for enrollment accuracy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field;MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

• 3 to 6 + years of hands-on HR work experience (including employee benefits/compensation and system administration)
• Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation and applicable laws
• Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements
