Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. invites an experienced Employee/Labor Relations Specialist II to support labor relations across production sites. You will partner with stakeholders, lead shop-floor communication, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

The role includes training, investigations, grievances, contract terms, and maintaining case files while representing the company at external forums. Collaboration with Korea HQ is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–6 years of direct experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including Korea HQ to support labor/employee relations issues across LG Energy Solution production site.
• Lead shop-floor communication and engagement initiatives to foster a strong connection between management and employees.
• Track, manage, and resolve employee pain-points identified through various on-site listening sessions and communication channels.
• Support in designing and conducting Labor Relations training for all levels of management and supervisory personnel.
• Assist with employee complaints, workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Research collective bargaining, grievance history, and labor relations practices.
• Support in maintaining a consistent labor strategy across all departments.
• Assist with implementation and communication of contractual terms and labor agreements.
• Maintain case files, bargaining history, grievance records and other related documentation.
• Maintain a broad knowledge of corporate labor relations policies and training methodologies.
• Represent the Company at external forums and participate in committees as required.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Summary

As an Employee/Labor Relations Specialist II, you will support employee and labor relations activities across LG Energy Solution production sites. This role will partner with diverse stakeholders, to lead an effective shop-floor communication, conduct labor relations trainings, manage labor-management relations, and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 3 - 6 years of direct experience in a manufacturing industry
• Strong legal knowledge of labor laws and regulations
• Able to travel without legal restriction domestically and internationally on short notice at times to prepare and respond to any labor issues

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Experience in the automotive industry or a related industry is preferred
• Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SPHR) or labor relations is a plus
