Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with significant disabilities under licensed staff. You will assist with curriculum, behavior strategies, and instruction in person and online, maintaining records and assisting with IEPs.

The role emphasizes safety, hygiene, communication, and collaboration with teachers, families, and the ILC/SED programs. Training and biennial crisis prevention may be required. Strong compassion and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Low to moderate professional work experience acceptable
• Ability to modify curriculum and implement behavior techniques
• Experience with students with autism, behavior challenges, or medical needs

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adaptations (Daily, 35%)
• Follow IEP accommodations and document progress (Daily, 30%)
• Prepare materials, tests, attendance, and related paperwork (Daily, 5%)
• Support online learning activities and technology access (Daily, 50%)
• Assist with safety, hygiene, and environmental needs (Daily, 5%)
