Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe disabilities under licensed special education staff. You will assist with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and data collection in both in-person and remote components.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• No prior professional work experience required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training required by district.
• Medication administration training provided by district.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement accommodations and maintain progress and behavior records with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance, and other classroom tasks as needed.
• Support online learning tasks, including setting up technology and assisting with assignments.
