Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe needs under licensed staff. You will assist with curriculum adaptation, behavior support, and progress recording, and help ensure a clean, safe learning environment across in-person and remote settings.

Responsibilities include creating instructional materials, monitoring progress, and assisting with IEP implementations.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Ability to modify curriculum and implement behavior modification techniques.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities, adapting the curriculum for individual needs.
• Maintain records of progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests and attendance.
• Support online/remote learning tasks and technology assistance.
• Assist with other classroom events such as fire drills.
