Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe disabilities under licensed staff. You will assist with curriculum adaptation, behavior strategies, and progress tracking, including non-violent crisis interventions and data collection.

The role involves both on-site and remote tasks, preparing instructional materials, and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment. DUTIES cover ILC/Homebound, SED, and online learning support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalency diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement accommodations and track student progress with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests, attendance, and documentation.
• Provide technical physical care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Support remote learning students with technology access and curriculum reinforcement.
