Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will help with curriculum delivery, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion.

In remote settings you’ll support technology access and executive functioning; in the classroom you’ll assist with accommodations, monitoring progress, and maintaining records. This is a non-exempt educational support position.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Ability to modify curriculum and implement behavior modification techniques.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery for individuals and small groups.
• Maintain progress and behavior records with licensed staff.
• Provide technical physical care and support in online/distance learning environments.
• Assist with materials preparation, tests, attendance and documentation.
• Support safety via daily routines, fire drills and classroom events.
