Job summary

Spring Independent School District Transportation in Houston, TX is seeking a Bus Attendant to help ensure student safety on routes. The position is full-time, nonexempt, with wage details (MIN $13.25, MID $15.59) and 180 days per year.

You will assist the driver, load/unload students, perform interior inspections, and document student behavior while keeping discipline positive. Must be at least 18, clear background, and CPI/CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Criminal History Check clearance.
• Job related experience preferred.
• CPI training preferred.
• CPR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading students.
• Evacuating students in emergency situations.
• Providing emergency assistance to special students as needed.
• Assisting driver in daily interior bus inspection.
• Maintaining and updating student records.
• Documenting and reporting inappropriate or unacceptable behavior.
• Maintaining discipline in a positive manner.
• Recognizing evidence of abuse and neglect.
• Assisting the driver in keeping interior of bus clean.
• Maintaining accurate time checks and student counts as required.
• Assisting the auxiliary driver with route directions and student management.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
